How I work

01

Design the system, not only the screen

I work at the level above the screen. Interaction models, reusable patterns, and component decisions made once that hold up across roles, products, and releases that haven't shipped yet.

02

Use evidence to change direction

I combine research, analytics, and product context to uncover what matters and turn it into clear, actionable decisions.

03

Build alignment through delivery

I join the hard conversations early. Framing tradeoffs in terms the whole team can act on is what keeps quality intact from the first wireframe to the final legal review.

04

AI as practical leverage

I use AI to synthesize, explore, prototype, and validate deliverables without outsourcing judgment.

How I lead

Building the practice, not just the product.

Built and ran the UX practice inside an agency, then took on three designers across separate workstreams at Publicis Sapient.

The job has stayed the same throughout: find people worth investing in, give feedback specific enough to act on, and protect the conditions that let them do good work.

01

Growth is the metric

Wrote the reviews, set the roadmaps, ran the critiques. An intern who joined in 2016 became a mid level designer and stayed five years.

02

Managing and still designing

Still designing alongside the people I manage. Leading a team whose work you couldn't do yourself is a hard way to earn trust, from the designers or from the engineers waiting on specs.

03

One bar across parallel work

Three designers, separate workstreams, two time zones. Consistency comes from shared patterns and critique that names the specific thing, not from approval gates.

04

Scope is a people problem first

Scope creep starts as a conversation nobody wanted to have. Coached designers to spot the early signals and handle it themselves.

05

Design that argues for itself

Sold new work and made executive level calls with stakeholders. A practice that can't explain its value in business terms gets treated as a service desk.
